A Camponeza — Casa das Espetadas is a Portuguese gastronomy restaurant built around authentic Atlantic seafood, selected Portuguese wines and a vibrant Fado Live music programme. Our collaboration covered the full spectrum of their communication needs: a complete food and drinks menu with photography and detailed dish descriptions, website design and copywriting, and event branding for their Seafood StreetFest — an outdoor festival on Str. Émile Zola, for which we also designed the team uniforms. We supported their social media presence and contributed two editorial blog articles: one dedicated to Vinho Verde and one titled 5 Reasons Why Portuguese Fish Is the Best Fish in the World. From the restaurant floor to the festival street and the digital page, every touchpoint was designed to carry the warmth, authenticity and oceanic soul of the A Camponeza experience.

The brief required a complete digital presence: website design, copywriting, downloadable PDF menu, booking form and event communication that could carry the romance of the concept to a Romanian audience.

The website was structured as a single-page narrative journey: from the atmospheric hero section, through the location story and menu philosophy, to an events calendar and reservation form. The events section supported an ongoing programme of themed evenings: Fado Live nights, Ziua Portugaliei celebrations and outdoor seafood festivals, each with its own poster designed within a consistent visual identity.

Menu Design

Designed from cover to cover for A Camponeza — Casa das Espetadas, this menu was built to match the ambition of the restaurant itself: a complete, bilingual food and beverage document spanning 22 pages, with detailed descriptions for every dish, every wine and every spirit on offer.

The visual identity draws on the Portuguese azulejo tile tradition: a pastel, patterned background system that runs consistently through every section, from Aperitive and Espetade to the extensive wine list covering Vinho Verde, white, rosé, red, collection and liqueur wines. Each wine entry was written with tasting notes in both Romanian and English, turning the menu into an educational tool as much as an ordering document.

Event Presence

Seafood Street Fest — Uma Festa Portuguesa | 2022

This was an outdoor street festival organised by A Camponeza on Str. Émile Zola in Cluj-Napoca, celebrating Portugal Day across three consecutive evenings. The event transformed the pedestrian alley into a Mediterranean street food experience — with fresh Atlantic seafood cooked live in a large outdoor pan, Portuguese wines, Fado concerts and traditional music.

The full event communication was designed and produced by Oaza Advertising: a large horizontal banner mounted above the outdoor seating area, a matching banner above the live cooking station, a vertical promotional poster displayed on the restaurant door, and a programme poster in an outdoor display case on the facade. All materials shared the same visual identity — Portuguese azulejo tile backgrounds, festive bunting, hand-drawn seafood illustrations and a warm, celebratory typographic system consistent with the restaurant's brand.

Concept & Objectives

The social media strategy for A Camponeza was built around three recurring content pillars: menu storytelling, fresh Atlantic delivery announcements and live music evening promotions.

Selected dishes from the menu were presented through dedicated posts designed to communicate both the quality of the ingredients and the artisanal character of the preparation — espetade, platouri oceanice, specialități la cuptor and signature desserts each received their own visual treatment.

Every Wednesday morning, a fresh delivery arrived from Portugal — fish, seafood, wines — and this weekly ritual became a content moment in itself: communicating provenance, freshness and the restaurant's commitment to authenticity directly to its audience.

The Fado and live music evenings were promoted through atmospheric event posts that captured the intimate, candlelit character of the space — building anticipation and reinforcing A Camponeza's identity as Cluj-Napoca's home of Portuguese culture, not just Portuguese food.
